The Hutchinson House is one of the oldest surviving houses built by African Americans during the Reconstruction Era on Edisto Island, South Carolina. Working closely with Henry Hutchinson’s living ancestors, along with Artis Construction, the Edisto Island Open Land Trust is completely restoring the home.
